Pampa Home: Where We Started, Where We’re Going
Pampa Home
[Noun]
—————————
A successful crochet business,
An ode to authenticity
The world of Pampa Home began with boredom and a crochet magazine. Now, it is a world that honors the uniqueness of the handmade, the perseverance of hard workers, the connection to one's roots.
But why the name? Why the joining of two words in different languages? Pampa is the vast plains of Argentina. And home is the people we love. Lorena Campana explains, “It’s meant to represent where I’m from and where I am now. That’s why a part of it is in Spanish and the other is in English.” Pampa Home is a business, but it is also a representation of where she is from and how far she has come. And many people are to thank for this. One of which is the reason why people are able to buy her products at all. “She gave me the encouragement that took the fear away from starting.” She’s mentioning Carmen, a close friend of hers who, similarly, started a business that gave her the push into beginning her own.
But just because Pampa Home is up and running doesn’t mean there aren’t difficulties. Pampa Home is not Campana’s full-time job. Every single morning at 4:45 am sharp, she goes to work, driving as the sun rises. That doesn’t stop her though. During her breaks, once she gets home, on the weekends. She spends all this time crocheting. Laughing, she says, “the only problem is having two hands.” This goes to show where passion and perseverance can get you.
In fact, Pampa Home’s goal is to show the passion and work she’s put into her art. She hopes to continue spreading her love for crochet, eventually wishing to teach people all the knowledge she has gained through years of experience. To her, Pampa Home is the process of crocheting her future. And she’s doing it, stitch by stitch.
We want to welcome you into Pampa Home. Not everyone has to create art. But everyone deserves the opportunity to experience it. This is our way of offering a bit of art to you.
